Stay Well  If you’re feeling emotional distress, help is available. There are many ways to connect with emotional-support services without the need to leave home.

Northern Lakes Community Mental Health
Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis may call the NLCMHA Crisis Line 24/7 at 1-833-295-0616. Individuals who are experiencing increased stress, anxiety or depression may call the NLCMHA Access Line at 1-800-492-5742.
In addition, we subscribe to the evidence-based myStrength health and wellness online resource as a benefit for the community. Anyone can sign up for a free account using our confidential community code. There is a robust stress reduction program available for everyone there. Please call us during business hours at 231-922-4850 or 800-337-8598 or message us through Facebook anytime to get the free code. If you don’t yet have a myStrength account, you may try out the Inner Calm in Turbulent Times.

The Listening Ear
At the Listening Ear, our building may be closed but we are STILL available to listen. We are open from 2:00 pm to 2:00 am each and every day. If you need to talk about how COVID-19 has touched your lives, or you need help finding resources in the community that are still available, please call! This isn’t a time to be shy about needing to reach out, we know that, and will continue to be here for you and for our community!    CRISIS LINE NUMBER   517-337-1717

The warmline will operate seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. at 888-PEER-753 (888-733-7753). It is intended to serve individuals living with persistent mental health challenges including anxiety, depression and trauma. Individuals in crisis, including those considering suicide, are urged to contact the Disaster Distress Helpline 24/7 at 800-985-5990 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 24/7 at 800-273-8255.

By texting the keyword RESTORE to 741741, Michigan residents can have a confidential text conversation with a crisis counselor.
