OS Reentry
The vision of Michigan OS Reentry Services is that every offender released from prison will have the tools needed to succeed in the community and the opportunity to utilize those tools to be productive, self-sufficient citizens.
The mission of Michigan OS Reentry Services is to reduce crime by implementing a seamless plan of services, supervision, and opportunities developed with each offender and delivered through state and regional collaboration with the goal of obtaining employment and self-sufficiency. The mission is accomplished by targeting service provision to meet the identified needs of returning offenders, thereby reducing their risk of recidivism and enhancing their employment opportunities.
Services are provided based on the parole agent’s referral, which may include but are not limited to the following:
- Temporary Transitional Housing
- Housing Supplies
- On-The-Job Training: Reimburses the employer for cost of skill development and training of an employee.
- Temporary Work Experience: Assistance for those who lack recent work history, references, or job skills.
- Work Supplies
- Clothing Assistance
- Hygiene Kits
- Identification Assistance
- Public & Private Transportation Assistance
- Health & Behavioral Health Services
Networks Northwest provides OS Reentry Services for the following counties: Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, and Wexford.
