Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)

Area Agency on Aging
With the COVID-19 pandemic, AAANM is here to support older adults, families and caregivers in northwest Michigan.  While our office is officially closed to the public, we welcome calls and have phone lines staffed with nurses and social workers to answer questions and concerns you may have.  Our number is 1-800-442-1713 or 231-947-8920.  We may also be reached at info@aaanm.org.

Request Delivery, a Meal, or a Friendly Reassurance
There is a whole network of Area Agencies on Aging and local volunteers waiting to help you get the food and support that you need if you are 60+ years of age. Fill out the form, and they will get to work. Here is how it works:

Meal Delivery

  • If you are 60+ you may qualify for home-delivered meals through your local area agency on aging. If you are eligible after you sign up, your regional agency or volunteer will contact you to have meals delivered. Meals can be fresh, frozen or shelf-stable (non-perishable).

Friendly Reassurance and Regular Check-in Calls

  • Select this option if you are 60+ and would like to receive a regular check-in call from a volunteer who can make sure you are doing ok and spend some time catching up, sharing news and important updates with you.
